Ban Ton with the whole text written in Pali in the form of stanza starting with “Namotassa bhagavato arahato sammāsambuddhassa. buddhādicco mahātejo dhammacando rasāharo sanghatāragano settho amhe rakkhantu pāyato panidanadho pathāya tathākhato mahākāruniko lokānukampāya , and etc.” It is used to recite at the ceremony of Buddhabhiseka and other great festivals such as the Vessantara Jataka festival in order to recollect the virtues of the Buddha, the Dhamma, and the Sangha and the perfections of the Buddha. Colophon: Folio 12 on the recto side: Chunlasangkat (CS) 1286, a kap chai year, on the third day of the waning moon of the eleventh lunar month, the fourth day of the week (Wednesday). Saen Chan from Koen village had the ardent religious faith to sponsor the making of this manuscript entitled Pitaka called Banton (Initial Part) to support the Teachings of the Buddha to last until the end of 5000 years.
