Visuddhimagga refers to the path of purity is the scripture that explains the principles of practice that lead to Nirvana based on the principles of the morality, meditation and wisdom. The original was written in Pali by an Indian Buddhist teacher, Buddhagosa in Lanka. The text tells about Ariyapuggala, the noble individuals consist of seven types as following: 1. Ubhatobhagavimutti: one liberated in both ways. 2. Pannavimutti: one liberated by understanding. 3. Kayasakkhi: the body-witness. 4. Ditthippatta: one attained to right view. 5. Saddavimutti: one liberated by faith. 6. Dhammanusari: the truth-devotee. 7. Saddhanusari: the faith-devotee.
