The content tells about Lohicca Sutta, the story of Lohicca Brahmin. Once, the Buddha on a wandering tour among the Kosalans with a large community of monks — approximately 500 monks in all — and arrived at Salavatika. Now at that time the brahman Lohicca was reigning with feudatory rights over Salavatika. When Lohicca Brahmin heard the beautiful reputation of the Buddha, he would like to make merit with. So, he asked Rosika, the barber to invite the Buddha to receive food at his house. In the coming morning, the Buddha along with a large community of monks carrying bowls to receive food at Lohicca Brahmin’s house. The Buddha knew that Lohicca had an evil viewpoint, the Buddha then took the opportunity delivering a sermon to the Brahmin. When the sermon was over, Lohicca Brahmin became faithful and had well understanding. He then asked for becoming a lay devotee taking the Triple Gem as refuge for the whole of his life. Pho Khampheng and his wife had the religious faith to sponsor the making of this manuscript entitled Thikhanikai (Digha Nikāya), to support the Teachings of the Buddha to last until the end of 5000 years.
