The content tells about the followers of the future Buddha, Metteyya, who will leave their households and follow Metteyya Bodhisatta and become ascetics in the forest. Among his followers will be Suboga and his wife named Sudda, Saddattha and his wife Saddanari, Sangha and his wife Sanghali, Hatsavatta and his wife Thirakha. Moreover, many ordinary people will follow the Bodhisatta and become his disciples. His Bodhi will be the Naga tree. After the Buddha’s passing away, his teachings will continue for one hundred and eighty thousand years. The initiators, Thit Duang and his wife, Sao Phio from Xiang Thong village together with their fathers, mothers and relatives had the most ardent religious faith to look for the palm leaves for the making of this manuscript entitled Thamma Mettainyasut (Metteyya Sutta), to support the Teachings of the Buddha to last until the end of 5000 years.
