The prayers of Sangayana (Buddhist Council) with the entire text written in Pali language, talking about the Sutra, the Vinaya and the Abhidhamma in brief. The text is used by monks to preach in the Buddhist ceremony which is called ‘Sangayana’ a great and popular ceremony for Luang Prabang people. Colophon: Folio 7 on the recto side: Sangkat (CS) 1265, a ka mao year, on a ka khai day, the fourteenth day of the waxing moon of the fifth lunar month, a tao si day, the writing was accomplished at the time of thae kai thiang van (between 10.30–12.00 o’clock). Nai (Mr.) Som had the ardent religious faith to sponsor the making of this manuscript entitled Sangkhayana to prolong the Teachings of the Buddha to last until the end of 5000 years.
