The text tells about the Tipitaka (three baskets). After the enlightenment, the Buddha preached the Suttanta doctrine as the first scripture, the Vinaya doctrine as the second scripture and the Abhidhamma doctrine as the third one. The Buddha gave the first preaching of Dhammacakkappavattana Sutta to the five ascetics. When the Buddha had his sixty disciples of arahants, he sent them to different places for propagating his teachings. On the side of the Buddha, he went to give the ordination of the 500 hermits in Rajagaha and stayed there for his first Buddhist Lent. Later, there were naughty monks, they practiced improperly and were unsatisfied by the viewers. They were condemned and blamed by the people. Therefore, the Buddha laid down the disciplines accordance with the causes happened.
