Sattha is a group of Pali grammar scriptures dealing with the Pali language in the Tipitaka. It is a basic scripture for understanding the Pali language as well as learning and analyzing the meaning of the Dhamma in the Tipitaka. The title of this manuscript appears in the colophon says “Sattha”. Colophons: (1) Folio 25 on the verso side: Chunlasangkatrasa 89 (corresponding with CS 1289, a moeng mao year), a moeng hao year, the fourteenth day of the waxing moon of the tenth Lan Xang lunar month, the seventh day of the week (Saturday), a moeng mao day. Sangkharasa Sisuriyachao from Ban Som village sponsored the making of this manuscript [entitled] Sap sattha. May I become a Buddha in the future, may my wishes come true. (2) Folio 26 on the verso side: Chunlasangkatrasa 89 (corresponding with CS 1289, a moeng mao year), a moeng hao year, the fourteenth day of the waxing moon of the tenth Lan Xang lunar month, the seventh day of the week (Saturday), a moeng mao day.
