ທານະຂັນ ບັ້ນຕົ້ນ

ທານະຂັນ ເປັນກັນທີ່ ໓ ໃນເຫວດສັນຕະຣະຊາດົກ ເນື້ອໃນທັງໝົດເປັນບົດພາສາບາລີ. ກ່ອນພະເວດສັນດອນ ຈະສະເດັດອອກຈາກພະນະຄອນສີພີ ພະອົງຊົງບໍລິຈາກ “ສັດຕະສະດະກະມະຫາທານ” (ທານ ໗ ສິ່ງ ໆ ລະ ໗໐໐) ຈາກນັ້ນ ຈຶ່ງສະເດັດອອກຈາກເມືອງ ໂດຍມີພະນາງມັດທີ, ເຈົ້າຊາລີ ແລະນາງກັນຫາ ຕາມສະເດັດໄປປ່າຫິມມະພານ. ລະຫວ່າງທາງ ມີພວກຍາຈົກມາທູນຂໍພະລາຊະທານລົດແລະມ້າ ພະອົງກໍ່ຊົງປະທານໃຫ້ ໃນທີ່ສຸດທັງສອງພະອົງຊົງອູ້ມພະໂອລົດແລະພະທິດາແລ້ວສະເດັດໄປສູ່ປ່າຫິມມະພານ.

Dānakhanda the third episode of the Vessantara Jataka with the whole text written in Pali. Before Vessantara left Sivi kingdom, he donated “sattasadaka mahadāna” (donation of 7 things, 700 each). Then, he left the kingdom with Queen Maddi, son, Jali and daughter Kanha directing to the Himavan forest. Along the way, a group of paupers came and asked for the royal carriage and horse. He gave them. Finally both of them carried their son and daughter and continued their way by foo to the Himavan forest.

Extent: 1 palm-leaf manuscript containing 17 leaves.
