The Dhammapada story of the Sakka. After the human world, the youth Magha was reborn as Sakka (Indra). Susada, Magha’s fourth wife was reborn as a bittern in a mountain. After the existence of the bird, she was reborn as a daughter of the weaving man in Pharanasi, due to her good deed of observing the precepts. When the Sakka knew, he came down to help her and gave her seven kinds of crytals and also advised her to observe the precepts. The girl intentionally observed the five precepts. After the existence, she was reborn as a daughter of Asura who was the enemy of the Sakka. Due to the good deed of observing the precepts, she had the beautiful body and golden skin. Colophon: Folio 25 on the recto side: Sangkat 168 (corresponding with CS 1168), a hwai nyi year, on the second day of the waxing moon of the fourth lunar month, the third day of the week (Tuesday). The writing of this manuscript was accomplished in late afternoon (between 15.00–16.30 o’clock). The royal king had the religious faith to sponsor the making of this manuscript entitled Preaching Dhammapada to support the Teachings of the Buddha to last until the end of 5000 years.
