ສຸວັດຕະຊາດົກ ໃນອະດິດຕະການ ພະຍາພົມມະທັດສະເຫວີຍຣາຊະສົມບັດໃນເມືອງພາຣານະສີ. ພະອົງມີພະອັກຄະມະເຫສີ ພະນາມວ່າ ພະນາງຈັນທະເທວີ ແລະນາງສະໜົມ ໑໖,໐໐໐ ນາງ ແຕ່ບໍ່ມີໂອລົດແລະທິດາສືບວົງຕະກູນ. ຊາວພະນະຄອນແລະເສນາອໍາມາດ ຈຶ່ງຂາບທູນໃຫ້ພະຣາຊາຂໍບຸດ. ພະອົງຈຶ່ງຮຽກນາງສະນົມທັງຫລາຍມາປະຊຸມກັນແລ້ວຕັດສັ່ງວ່າ, “ເຈົ້າທັງຫຼາຍຈົ່ງປາດຖະໜາບຸດ. ຖ້າຜູ້ໃດມີບຸດ ຊັບສົມບັດທັງຫລາຍຈະມອບໃຫ້ບຸດຂອງຜູ້ນັ້ນ”. ນາງສະໜົມທັງຫຼາຍກໍ່ພາກັນວິ່ງວອນຂໍບຸດຈາກເທວະດາ ແຕ່ກໍ່ບໍ່ມີຜູ້ໃດໄດ້ດັ່ງປາດຖະໜາ. ພະນາງຈັນທະເທວີໄດ້ຮັກສາສີນອຸໂບສົດແລະອະທິດຖານຂໍບຸດ. ດ້ວຍເດຊານຸພາບແຫ່ງສີນຂອງພະນາງ, ພະຍາອິນ ຈຶ່ງໄດ້ປະທານໃຫ້ເທວະບຸດລົງມາປະຕິສົນທິໃນທ້ອງແຫ່ງພະນາງ. ເມື່ອປະສູດອອກມາຈຶ່ງໃສ່ພະນາມວ່າ ສຸວັດຕະກຸມມານ. ເມື່ອຈະເລີນໄວໄດ້ ໑໖ ປີ ພະຍາພົມມະທັດກໍ່ໄດ້ມອບຣາຊະສົມບັດໃຫ້ສຸວັດຕະກຸມມານ. ພະເຈົ້າສຸວັດຕະໄດ້ອະພິເສກກັບພະມະເຫສີຫຼາຍພະອົງ ໄດ້ແກ່ ພະນາງບົວຄໍາ, ພະນາງສະມຸດທະຊາ, ພະນາງສຸທາຣັກ, ພະນາງສີວະດີ, ພະນາງສຸກະຣັກແລະນາງເທບໄທ. ຕໍ່ມາ ນາງບົວຄໍາປະສູດໂອລົດ ມີນາມວ່າ ທຸກຂະກຸມມານ ແລະນາງສຸທາຣັກ ປະສູດໂອລົດ ມີນາມວ່າ ໄຊຍາ ສ່ວນພະມະເຫສີຄົນອື່ນໆບໍ່ມີໂອລົດ.
Suvatta Jataka. Once upon a time, King Brahmadatta ruled Varanasi kingdom. The king had his queen named Candadevi who was master of other 16,000 concubines. Although the king had many wives, but he had no sons or daughters. The people of the city and the ministers asked the king to ask for a son to continue the family line. He summoned all the concubines and ordered them to give birth to a son. If a person has a son, all the property will be given to him. As for the concubines, they wished for a son and begged for help from the angels, but no one was fulfilled. Queen Candadevi who was fulfilled of morality, she longed for her son and kept her in good spirits. With the power of her morality, Indra sent a deva to conceive in her womb. When she gave birth to a son named Prince Suvatta Kumara. When the prince was 16 years old, King Brahmadatta gave the throne to him. Later, King Suvatta had many wives, including Buakham, Samuthasa, Sutharak, Sivadi, Sukarak and Thepthai. Later, Buakham gave birth to a son named Dukkha Kumara and Sutharak also gave birth to a son named named Jaya. But others had no children.
