ໄຕຍະພູມ ກ່າວເຖິງ ພູມທັງ ໓ ໄດ້ແກ່ ກາມະວະຈະຣະພູມ, ຣູປະວະຈະຣະພູມ ແລະອະຣູປະວະຈະຣະພູມ. ພູມທັງ ໓ ນີ້ເປັນຄະຕິກ່ຽວກັບໂລກສັນຖານຕາມຄວາມເຊື່ອໃນສາສະໜາພຸດວ່າສັດທັງຫລາຍໃນໂລກ ຈະຕ້ອງວຽນວ່າຍຕາຍເກີດໃນໄຕຍະພູມເຫລົ່ານີ້ ຈົນກວ່າຈະສໍາເລັດເປັນພະອໍລະຫັນແລະປະລິນິບພານ ຈຶ່ງຈະພົ້ນຈາກໄຕຍະພູມທັງປວງ. ໃນກາມະພູມ ປະກອບດ້ວຍ ໑໑ ພູມ ໄດ້ແກ່ທຸກຄະຕິພູມ ໔ ແລະສຸຄະຕິພູມ ໗. ທຸກຄະຕິພູມ ໔ ປະກອບດ້ວຍ ໑. ນະຮົກພູມ, ໒.ເຜດພູມ, ໓.ອະສຸຣະກາຍພູມ, ໔.ເດຍລະສານພູມ ແລະສຸຄະຕິພູມ ໗ ໄດ້ແກ່ ໑.ມະນຸດພູມ, ໒.ຈາຕຸມະຫາຣາຊິກາ, ໓.ດາວະດຶງ, ໔.ຍາມາ, ໕.ດຸສິດ, ໖.ນິມມາຣະດີ ແລະ ໗.ປະຣະນິມມິຕະວະສະວັດຖີ. ຣູປະພູມ ໄດ້ແກ່ພົມ ໑໖ ຊັ້ນ. ອະຣູປະພູມ ແບ່ງອອກເປັນ ໔ ຊັ້ນ ແລະເປັນທີ່ສະຖິດຢູ່ຂອງພະພົມລະດັບສູງ.
Taiphum (Tebhumi) refers to the three worlds including Kāmāvacarabhūmi (the sense sphere), Rūpavacarabhūmi (the form sphere) and Arūpavacarabhūmi (the formless sphere). These three worlds are based on the belief in Buddhism that all the creatures in the world must be born and die in these worlds until they have attained arahantship and enter Nirvana, so they will be escaped from all the worlds. There are 11 worlds in the sense sphere, including 4 realms of woe and 7 realms of happiness. The four realms of woe consist of 1. Hell, 2. Ghost-sphere, 3. Demons-sphere, 4. Animal kingdom and the seven happy realms are 1. Human realm, 2. Realm of the fou great kings, 3. Realm of the thirty–three Gods, 4. Realm of the Yama gods, 5. Realm of satisfied gods, 6. Realm of the gods who rejoice in their own creations and 7. Realm of gods who lord over the creation of others. Rūpavacabhūmi refers to the 16 form-spheres of Brahma. Arūpabhūmi consists of 4 formless-spheres of Brahma.
