The text tells about the strange behaviors of the major groups of the people in the world when the Teachings of the Buddha have passed for 3000 years. They will not believe in the teachings of their parents or teachers. They will become selfish, greedy, highly conceited and have wrong view. They will respect the parent spirits, guardian spirits and deities as the refuge. They will not believe in the Buddha’s teachings. Even if they have heard the preaching by monks, they will not believe in and not follow the teachings. Therefore, the Teachings of the Buddha have gradually declined along the time. Colophon: Folio 25 on the recto side: Sangkat (CS) 1281, a kat mot year, on the sixth day of the waning moon of the ninth lunar month, the first day of the week (Sunday), a huang pao day, the writing was accomplished at the time of kòng ngai (between 7.30–9.00 o’clock). The initiator, Somdet Chittapannya from Long Khun temple, who had a wish and an intention to perform prefections and bought the palm leaves and hired the scribe for the making of this manuscript [entitled] Sanghòm That to support the Teachings of the Buddha to last until the end of 5000 years. May the results of this merit support me every existence. May any of my wish not be ignored. May I see the face of the Blessed One named Ariya Metteyyo. Ahaṃ arahanta maggananaṃ nibbāna anāgate ariyametteyyo santike mama pāpunanti, definitely.
