This work manikkattu kayaru sastra is one of the method of identifying the diseases. To find out the diseases of a person, a thread may be made round four fingure width away from the wrist. From leanth of the round thread, diseases may be identified by this sastra. this work contains 26 poems. ஒருவருக்கு வந்துள்ள நோய்கள் பற்றியும், வரப்போகும் நோய்கள் பற்றியும் ஒரு சிறு கயிறு கொண்டு பார்க்கும் ஒரு வகையான மருத்துவ முறையே மணிக்கடைக் கயிறு சாத்திரம் ஆகும். அதாவது, ஒருவரின் கை மணிக்கட்டுப் பகுதியில் இருந்து நான்கு விரற்கடை தள்ளிக் கயிறு கொண்டு அளந்து பார்த்துக் கிடைக்கும் நீளத்தை அவரவர் விரற்கடை அளவாக அளக்க கயிற்றின் நீளம் முறையே நான்கு முதல் பதினொன்று விரற்கடை அளவு வரையிலும் இருக்கும். அந்த அளவுகளைக் கொண்டு ஒருவருக்கு உள்ள நோயைக் கண்டறியும் முறையே இது. இம்முறையில் இச்சுவடி 26 பாடல்களின் வழி கூறுகிறது.
