[Personal diaries and notes of Komal Kothari]

This is a notebook containing notes and personal writings of Komal Kothari. The first few pages contain details of various castes and communities of Barmer districts. In the following pages, the notebook has been used as a daily journal during an ethnographic trip to Barmer. Empirical data on various villages visited along with short notes on interesting people of those villages e. g. people hosting a wedding, wool makers, people in charge of a Sufi shrine and makers of musical instruments. A detailed note on the process and the craft of wood colouring in Barmer. The last few pages are dedicated to documentation and suggestions for Jean Jenkin's work in Rajasthan.
