[Personal diaries and notes of Komal Kothari]

This is a notebook containing notes and personal writings of Komal Kothari. Most of the notes in the notebook are dedicated to a field trip to various districts and villages of Rajasthan collection 'Kathas', mythologies and rituals associated with local deities among various communities like Chamar, Meena etc. Among the places visited are Bundi, Kekind, Kota etc. along with distinct and long notes on villages Kalada and Jamola. The notebook also contains some sketches of the Par tradition of painting in Rajasthan. The sketches were made by Kothari on the way to Hanumangarh from Jajawar. The notebook has also been used as a daily journal for 1979 which contain comments on temples, dirgahs and idols. Another section of the notebook is dedicated to another research on "Fiddles of Rajasthan" which contains details, nuances and artists of various fiddles in a tabular form. The last few pages contain notes on copyright section of the AIR manual, transcription of a few songs and bhajans by Hakim Khan and a note on the Langa community of Rajasthan. Physical characteristics: A handmade notebook with red cloth cover and yellow coloured pages containing handwritten notes with blue and black ink.
