The volume records baptisms of enslaved and free people registered in the Church of São João Batista de Itaboraí between 14 Oct 1729 and 04 Jun 1739. There are no opening or closing charters. The following clergy signed the entries: João Clemente; Pedro Leam de Sá; and João Rebello de Barros. Physical characteristics: The volume is missing a cover; some of the folios have come loose and show signs of ink and insect damage. There are some later annotations made with a ballpoint pen. Folios 1-7, 29-39, 69-146, 176-178, 184 forward are missing. Dimensions: 36cm x 26.5cm. Owner(s) of original material: Arquivo da Cúria Metropolitana de Niterói.
