Pha Khamchan Virachitta Thera, Abbot of Vat Saen Sukharam (the monk sitting in the middle of the Sangha) had held a merit-making ceremony (Het Bun) dedicated to Somdet Pha Sangkhalat Dhammayana Maha Thela (Bunthan Bupharat) of Vat Mai Suvannaphumaram, the last Supreme Patriarch of Laos who was a preceptor for his monk's ordination and Pha Kaenchan Kaccayana Maha Thela, former abbot of Vat Saen Sukharam who was a preceptor for his novice's ordination. The ceremony took place at the Sim of Vat Saen Sukharam in 1984, under the ceremonial chairman of Somdet Pha Luk Keo Silasangvaro (Pha Khamfan Silasangvara Maha Thela, the monk who touches his left shoulder), Abbot of Vat Suvannakhili.
