Photograph was taken at the time of his study Buddhism in Thailand on September 12 B.E.2480 (A.D.1937), at the age of 17. There is a handwritten message of Pha Khamchan on the verso of this photograph "Pha Khamchan Virachitta Thera, President of Provincial Buddhist Fellowship Organization of Luang Prabang, reproduced for a distribution at the age of 57 and has been a monk for 37 on September 23 B.E. 2520 (A.D. 1977)". silver gelatine DOP print.
