Phithi Khot Sim (Sim or main hall' s boundary-marking and inscription stone-burying ceremony) at Vat Xang Hai, Pak Ou District, Luang Prabang Province, under the ceremonial chairman of Pha Khamchan Virachitta Maha Thela (1st monk from the right), Abbot of Vat Saen Sukharam. This photograph represents the Sangha chant for burying inscription stones around the Sim. The monks from the right: Pha Khamchan Virachitta Maha Thela, Abbot of Vat Saen Sukharam, Pha Chantharin Chinnathammo, Abbot of Vat Phu Khwai Phokharam and unidentified monk who is an abbot of Vat Khom Sela. There is handwritten message of Pha Khamchan on the verso of this photograph "Phithi Khot Sim at Vat Xang Hai, Pak Ou District". Chromogenic print.
