In a statement dated June 1, 1920, the Association of Engineering Students responds to communication No. 159 issued by the secretariat of the committee of the Student Federation of Peru. The association expresses that in order to issue an official reply, it is necessary to know whether the committee secretariat has requested reports from the director of Fomento, the Minister of the branch and the Ministry of Instruction in relation to the subject addressed. Although their position is clearly defined in the motion sent the day before, they point out that they would be willing to provide additional information if the secretariat had not acted hastily in consulting the aforementioned authorities. The association emphasizes that this issue, in their opinion, should not have been promoted by the federal committee and regrets that the same interest has not been shown in other matters, such as teaching by non-specialized teachers in certain faculties.
En un comunicado fechado el 1 de junio de 1920, la Asociación de Estudiantes de Ingeniería responde a la comunicación N° 159 emitida por la secretaría del comité de la Federación de Estudiantes del Perú. La asociación expresa que para emitir una respuesta oficial, es necesario conocer si la secretaría del comité ha solicitado informes al director de Fomento, al Ministro del ramo y al Ministerio de Instrucción en relación con el tema abordado. A pesar de que su posición está claramente definida en la moción enviada el día anterior, señalan que estarían dispuestos a proporcionar información adicional si la secretaría no hubiera actuado precipitadamente al consultar a las autoridades mencionadas. La asociación enfatiza que este tema, a su juicio, no debería haber sido promovido por el comité federal y lamenta que no se haya mostrado el mismo interés en otros asuntos, como la enseñanza impartida por docentes no especializados en ciertas facultades.
