This telegram, sent on March 18, 1920, informs the Student Federation of Peru in Lima about the discussions at the First Congress of the Student Federation of Peru in Cusco. The topic of regionalism as a factor of national unity was debated, sustained by student Gil, whose work received great interest and applause. The conclusions approved included the need to orient regionalism towards the construction of nationality, to promote the study and propaganda in favor of each region, to establish chairs of regional history and to request greater municipal autonomy from the public authorities. It was also proposed to organize university excursions to study different regions and to encourage the cooperation of students in the promotion of their regions. The debate was attended by delegations from Cusco and Arequipa, as well as delegates Del Aguila and Haya de la Torre.
Este telegrama, enviado el 18 de marzo de 1920, informa a la Federación de Estudiantes del Perú en Lima sobre las discusiones en el Primer Congreso de la Federación de Estudiantes del Perú en Cusco. Se debatió el tema del regionalismo como factor de unidad nacional, sostenido por el estudiante Gil, cuyo trabajo recibió gran interés y aplausos. Las conclusiones aprobadas incluyen la necesidad de orientar el regionalismo hacia la construcción de la nacionalidad, fomentar el estudio y la propaganda a favor de cada región, establecer cátedras de historia regional y solicitar a los poderes públicos mayor autonomía municipal. También se propuso organizar excursiones universitarias para estudiar diferentes regiones y fomentar la cooperación de los estudiantes en la promoción de sus regiones. El debate contó con la participación de delegaciones de Cusco y Arequipa, así como de los delegados Del Águila y Haya de la Torre.
