Sattanipāta contains a collection of jatakas that tells the history of the perfections performance of the Buddha in the time he was a Bodhisatta. The Buddha preached the jatakas to his followers on various occasions in order to tell them the principles of the Dhamma and proverbs that he wanted. In each life, the Bodhisatta had performed the perfection in a full and intense way, taking his life as a bet and had a different distinction. This series of manuscripts has many stories, such as, Manoja Jataka is about the association of bad people does not bring lasting happiness, Gijjha Jataka is about the power of obligation, Upananda Jataka is about Venerable Upananda Sākyaputta, Dabbhapupphā Jataka is about the punishment of arguing, Mahosatha Jataka is about the perfection of wisdom, Mahā Umaṅgala Jataka is about being blessed, etc. Colophon: Folio 25 on the recto side: Chunlasangkat one hundred and 703 (corresponding with CS 1173), a huang mot year, on a kot sanga day, the writing was accomplished at the time of tut sai kang khün (between 24.00–1.30 o’clock), the twelfth day of the waning moon of the eighth lunar month, Wednesday. The front palace had the religious faith to sponsor the making of this manuscript entitled Sattanibat to support the Teachings of the Buddha. May I reach the knowledge of enlightenment and Nirvana. May this be a condition to reach Nirvana.
