Once upon a time, there was a large forest full of wild animals in Savatthi. At that time, there was a head wild boar who led its followers out to eat as usual. While the rain was falling, the head wild boar used its mouth to dig the soil to be a pond and all the animals in the forest a drink of water. When the head wild boar died, he was reborn in heaven, named Sukadevaputta. At that time, Mahā Moggallāna Thera travelled to the heaven and saw Sukadevaputta with a body full of rays and surouding with servants. The Venerable then asked Sukadevaputta, what kind of karma did you have done to have so much light and a lot of servants? Sukadevaputta replied that when he was alive in the human world, he became the head wild boar and dug a well for all the animals to drink. Witht the results of the merit, I was born as a devaputta here.
