The story of Santita Minister, who was the great minister of King Pasenadi. Once, Santita Minister led the army to defeat the enemy and was victorious. The king was pleased and happy. He therefore gave the minister his royal crown for seven days and also gave him women who were skilled in dancing and singing. But the minister was drunk for almost seven days. On the 7th day, the minister had decorated himself with all kinds of ornaments and rode on an elephant to the river. While seeing the Buddha walking for alms at the gate of the palace, he bowed his head. The Buddha smiled. Venerable Ananda asked, "Oh Buddha, what is the cause of the Buddha's smile?" The Buddha said, “Ananda, when Santita Minister comes to my place, we will attain arahantship”.
