The text tells about the Buddhist Lent of monks. According to the Buddha’s precaptures, during the rainy season from Auguet to November, the Buddhist monks must stay in one place without travelling to other places, unless there is a necessity, so can go, but must return within seven days, which is called sattahakaraniya (business to be attended to within seven days). Moreover, the text also tells about the ten precepts of novices, pārājika (defeat) 4, and parisuddhi-sila (morality for purification). Colophon: Folio 29 on the recto side: Sangkat 23 (corresponding with CS 1123), a tao nyi year, the full moon day of the fourth lunar month, the seventh day of the week (Saturday). Saen Sathian and his wife along with all their children had the religious faith to sponsor the making of this manuscript [entitled] Vinayakitcha, to support the Teachings of Gotama Buddha to last until the end of 5000 years. May this be a condition to reach Nibbāna.
