ພະພຸດທະເຈົ້າກັດສະປະໄດ້ດໍາລົງຢູ່ເຜີຍແຜ່ພະສາສະໜາເປັນເວລາດົນນານໄດ້ໝື່ນປີກໍຈຶ່ງໄດ້ເຂົ້າສູ່ພະນິບພານ. ກ່ອນພະພຸດທະເຈົ້າເຂົ້າສູ່ພະນິບພານນັ້ນ ພະພຸດທະອົງກໍ່ໄດ້ຕັດພຸດທະທໍານາຍແກ່ພະອໍລະຫັນ ປະມານ ໖໔,໐໐໐ ອົງວ່າ ໃນອະນາຄົດພາຍພາກໜ້ານັ້ນຈະມີພະພຸດທະເຈົ້າລົງມາເກີດໃນເມືອງກະບິນລະພັດນະຄອນ ມີຊື່ວ່າ ພະພຸດທະເຈົ້າໂຄຕະມະ ພະບິດາ ນາມວ່າ ພະເຈົ້າສີສຸດໂທທະນະແລະມີພະມານດາ ນາມວ່າ ພະນາງສີມະຫາມາຍາ. ເມື່ອສິ້ນສາສະໜາຂອງພະພຸດທະເຈົ້າໂຄຕະມະ ຈະມີພະສີອະຣິຍະເມດໄຕລົງມາເກີດ ເພື່ອເຜີຍແຜ່ພະສາສະໜາຕໍ່ໄປ.
Kassapa Buddha had been spreading the teachings for a long time for ten thousand years and then he entered Nirvana. Before the Buddha entered Nirvana, he gave his prophecy to his disciples around 64,000 arahants. In the near future, there will be a Buddha born in the kingdom of Kapilavatthu, who is called Gotama Buddha. His father named King Suddhidana and his mother named Siri Mahamaya. When the teachings of Gotama Buddha ends, there will be Arya Metteyya who will continue to spread his teachings.
