ເນື້ອໃນກ່າວເຖິງພະເຈົ້າພິມພິສານຖວາຍສວນຕານແກ່ພະພຸດທະເຈົ້າ. ໃນສະໄໝໜຶ່ງ ພະຜູ້ມີພະພາກເຈົ້າປະທັບຢູ່ໃນສວນອຸທິຍານໄມ້ຕານ ເມືອງຣາຊະຄຶ ຊົງສະແດງທໍາແກ່ພະເຈົ້າພິມພິສານພ້ອມດ້ວຍເສນາອາມາດທັງຫລາຍ ກ່ຽວກັບຜະລະອານິສົງຂອງການໃຫ້ທານ, ການຮັກສາສີນ ແລະການອອກຈາກກາມ ເປັນຕົ້ນ. ເມື່ອຈົບພະທໍາມະເທດສະໜາ ພະເຈົ້າພິມພິສານກໍ່ໄດ້ບັນລຸເປັນພະໂສດາບັນ. ເມື່ອນັ້ນ ພະເຈົ້າພິມພິສານໄດ້ຫຼັ່ງນໍ້າທັກສິໂນທົກຖວາຍສວນອຸທິຍານໄມ້ຕານນັ້ນ ພ້ອມທັງອາຄານອີກ ໑໘ ຫຼັງ ເພື່ອໃຫ້ເປັນວິຫານແກ່ພະພຸດທະເຈົ້າ. ຈາກນັ້ນ ພະອົງໄດ້ທູນຖາມພະພຸດທະເຈົ້າ ເລື່ອງ ອານິສົງການສ້າງວິຫານຖວາຍໃຫ້ເປັນທານແກ່ພະພິກຂຸສົງອັນມີພະພຸດທະເຈົ້າເປັນປະທານ. ພະພຸດທະອົງຈຶ່ງຕັດເທສະໜາເລື່ອງອານິສົງການຖວາຍວິຫານເປັນທານ ໃຫ້ແກ່ພະເຈົ້າພິມພິສານພ້ອມດ້ວຍເສນາອາມາດໄດ້ຮັບຟັງ.

The text tells about King Bimbisara donated his royal garden of Palmyra palm to the Buddha. On one occasion, the Buddha was dwelling in the royal garden of Palmyra palm in Rajagaha. At the time, the Buddha delivered a sermon to King Bimbisara and his followers on the benefits of alms giving, observing the precepts and renouncing sensual pleasure. At the end of the discourse, the king and followers attained Sotapatti fruition. Thereafter, the king poured the water for offering the garden and along with eighteen buildings to the Buddha for their abodes. The king thus asked the Buddha about the benefits which derived from offering the abodes to the monks leading by the Buddha. So, the Buddha delivered a sermon on the benefits which derived from offering the abodes to the king and his followers.
