ນະຣັດທະ (ຜູກຕົ້ນ)

ນາຣັດທະພົມ ເປັນຊາດົກທີ່ ໘ ໃນ ໑໐ ຊາດົກ. ໃນຊາດນີ້ ພະໂພທິສັດເຈົ້າໄດ້ເກີດເປັນທ້າວມະຫາພົມອົງໜຶ່ງ ຊື່ວ່າ ນາຣັດທະຫຼືນາຣະທະ ບໍາເພັນອຸເປກຂາປາຣະມີ ໄດ້ສັ່ງສອນພະຣາຊາໃຫ້ດໍາລົງຢູ່ໃນສໍາມາທິດຖິ. ຄັ້ງໜຶ່ງ ພະພຸດທະເຈົ້າປະທັບຢູ່ສວນອຸທິຍານລັດຖິວັນ ເມືອງຣາຊະຄຶ ໄດ້ເທດສະໜາເລື່ອງອະດີດຕະຊາດຂອງພະພຸດທະອົງໃຫ້ແກ່ພິກທັງຫຼາຍ. ພະຍາອົງໜຶ່ງຕັ້ງຢູ່ໃນທົດສະພິດຣາຊະທໍາ ຊົງພະນາມວ່າ ພະຍາອັງຄະຕິຣາດ ສະເຫວີຍຣາຊະສົມບັດໃນເມືອງມິຖິລາ ໃນແຄວ້ນວິເທຫະ ພະອົງມີພະຣາຊະທິດາພະອົງດຽວ ຊົງພະນາມວ່າ ຣູຈາຣາຊະກຸມມານຣີ ຜູ້ມີຮູບໂສມອັນງົດງາມກວ່າຍິງອື່ນແລະມັ່ນຄົງຢູ່ໃນສີນທໍາ ມີອໍາມາດຜູ້ໃຫຍ່ ໓ ຄົນຊື່ວ່າ ວິໄຊຍະ, ສຸນາມະ ແລະອາຣາຕະ. ເມື່ອເຖິງວັນເພັນ ເດືອນ ໑໒ ໃນຊ່ວງທ້າຍປີ ອັນເປັນລະດູການທີ່ໜ້າເພີດເພີນຈໍາເລີນໃຈ ພະຍາອັງຄະຕິຣາດ ໄດ້ຕັດຖາມຄວາມເຫັນຂອງອໍາມາດທັງ ໓ ວ່າ ວັນນີ້ເປັນວັນດີເຮົາຈະຄວນເຮັດອັນໃດ? ອໍາມາດຜູ້ໜຶ່ງ ຂາບທູນວ່າ ພະອົງຄວນສະເດັດໄປສູ່ສໍານັກຂອງນັກປາດ, ນັກບວດຫຼືເຈົ້າລືສີ ເພື່ອສົນທະນາທໍາ ຈະເປັນການດີ ເມື່ອພະອົງໄດ້ຍິນເຊັ່ນນັ້ນກໍ່ພໍພະໄທ. ຄໍາລົງທ້າຍ: ລານທີ່ ໑ ໜ້າ ໑: ຈຸນລະສັງກາດຣາຊະໄດ້ ພັນ ໒ ຮ້ອຍ ໖ (ກົງກັບ ຈສ. ໑໒໐໖) ຕົວປີກາບສີ່ ເດືອນ ໕ ແຮມ ໑໒ ວັນ ໑ ມື້ກາບໃຈ້ ຣິດຈະນາແລ້ວຍາມກອງງາຍ ໝາຍມີ ພະຣາຊະສັດທາຫລວງ ມີໃຈເຫລື້ອມໃສໃນວໍລະພຸດທະສາສະໜາເປັນອັນຍິ່ງຈຶ່ງສ້າງ ລໍານະຣັດທະ ສົ່ງອານິສົງສ່ວນບຸນອັນນີ້ໃຫ້ສາທຸຄູວັດໃໝ່ ໄວ້ກັບສາສະໜາພະພຸດທະເຈົ້າ ຕາບຕໍ່ເທົ້າ ໕ ພັນວັດສາ ນິບພານະ ປັດຈະໂຍ ໂຫນຕຸ ທຸວັງ ທຸວັງ.

Narada, the great Brahma is the eighth jataka of the ten jatakas. In this life, the Bodhisatta was born as a great Brahma named Narada who taught a king to the right view. At one time, the Buddha was residing at the royal garden Latthivana in Rajagaha delivered a sermon on the story of his previous existence to his disciples. In the city of Mithila of Videha kingdom, there lived King Angati and his only beautiful daughter, Ruja who was steady in morality. The king had three senior advisors named Vijaya, Sunama and Arati. On the full moon day of the twelfth lunar month, the end of the year which was a joyful season. King Angati asked his advisors that “today is a good day what should we do?” One of his advisors advised him to see a pundit, or an ascetic or a hermit in order to seek out his advice on the Dhamma that would be a good behaviour. When the king heard that he appreciated this suggestion. Colophon: Folio 1 on the recto side: Chunlasangkatrasa thousand 2 hundred and 6 (corresponding with CS 1206), a kap si year, the twelfth day of the waning moon of the fifth lunar month, the first day of the week (Sunday), a kap chai day, the writing was accomplished at the time of kòng ngai (between 7.30–9.00 o’clock). The royal king had the most ardent religious faith to sponsor the making of this manuscript [entitled] Lam narattha, in order to dedicate this merit to Sathu Khu from Vat Mai and to support the Teachings of the Buddha to last until the end of 5000 years. May this be a condition to reach Nibbāna certainly.
