When Phaya Sirikhutta Maharaja heard the Yak said that he was delighted. He spoke to his children that it does not mean I do not love you, my beloved children but I love my enlightenment. Then he decided to give his children to the Yak for his food and declared to devas and the mother earth as witness to acknowledge his great dāna (giving). When the Yak got the children it immediately ate them in front of the king though he was not anxious but was delighted with the great giving. Colophon: Folio 26 on the recto side: Mahasangkat (CS) 1255, a ka sai year, the fourteenth day of the waxing moon of the eleventh lunar month, the third day of the week (Tuesday), a kap sanga day. Sao Chanpheng had the religious faith to sponsor the making of this manuscript, in order to support the Teachings of Gotama Buddha. Lam phachao sip phaong, may I dedicate this merit to my late mother who already died to the other world. Even if she has been stuck in a place of suffering, please let her move to a good place. May this be a condition for us to reach Nibbāna certainly and constantly.
