Abhidhamma the content tells the preaching of the seven books of the Abhidhamma of the Buddha. In the seventh year after the enlightenment, the Buddha performed yamaka-patihariya (the twin miracle) at Savatthi and went to Tavatimsa Heaven and preached the seven books of the Abhidhamm to his mother or late Queen Mahamaya who was reborn as Deva Santusit in Tusit heaven and other celestial beings from ten thousand universes for three months. Later the Buddha transmaitted the Abhidhamma to Sariputta There. Colophon: Folio 43 on the verso side: Sangkat (CS) 1262, a kat chai year, the eleventh day of the waning moon of the seventh lunar month, the sixth day of the week (Friday), a poek set day, the writing was accomplished at the time of kòng ngai (between 7.30–9.00 o’clock). Somdet Phommapannya had the most ardent religious faith to sponsor the making of this manuscript [entitled] Lam pitaka thang 3, to support the Teachings of Gotama Buddha to last until the end of 5000 years. May this be a condition for me to reach Nibbāna in the future certainly. Nibbāna is the greatest bliss.
