The short palm-leaf manuscript of the Patimokkha text in Pali used by monks to be recited at the ceremony of Patimokkha called Uposot (Uposatha) on the Buddhist holi days on the 15th day of the waxing moon and 15th day of the waning moon of the lumanr months of 30 days and on the 14th day of the waning moon of the lumanr months of 29 days. The content tells on how the Uposatha ceremony is and the 227 rules of bhikkhus. Listening to the recitation of Patimokkha is an important duty of the Sangha and is the formal act of the Sangha only, and is to review the 227 rules of bhikkhus and the harmony of the Sangha community.
