On one occasion, the Buddha was residing in Kapilavatthu, the Buddha delivered a sermon to his disciples and the people from eighty thousand families. The Buddha related to the two things that are dāna–alms-giving and sīla–morality. The results from alms-giving and observing precepts are different. Those who wish to gain lokiya sampatti (worldly success) such as kingship, millionaires, wealthy people, Indra, Brahma, or emperors. Their wishes are regarded as carelessness in life because of following with the ones graving. Those who wish to gain lokuttara sampatti (super mundane success) that is Nirvana, their wish is sublime and ultimate.
