The text tells the story of the previous life of the Bodhisattva, when the Bodhisattva was born as Sihanatha, the son of Sunnyaphakhi. An orphaned girl, Sunnyaphakhi lived with Khamposaka by farming. One day, a god transformed into an elephant and trampled on the rice field. She followed the elephant but could not find it. She drank from the elephant's footprint. Later, she became pregnant and gave birth to a son named Hatthibut Kumman. When the Bodhisattva was seven years old, both mother and son went into the forest and met a giant. The giant ran in hoping to eat the two. But the giant was subdued by the Bodhisattha with sihanada (battle cry). The giant giant screamed in fear and retreated. Therefore, the mother changed her child's name to Sihanatha Kumman. Colophon: Folio 25 on the recto side: Chunlasangkatrasa (CS) 1222, a kot san year, the fifth day of the waxing moon of the twelfth lunar month, the sixth day of the week (Friday). The younger brother of the king who lived in the back golden palace had the religious faith to sponsor the making of this manuscript.
