When Sihanatha Kumman learned from his mother that his father was an elephant, he set out to find him. On the way, he met two young men named Phalangka Kumman and Tesa Kumman and fought. When the two young men both lost, they asked to be his followers. Then, all of them traveled to Setthapura Nakorn. In this city there was a giant who often came to kill people for food. Sihanatha Kumman ordered Phalangka Kumman to beat the drum three times. When the giant heard the noise, he hurried to run. Sihanatha Kumman then gave his magic staff to Phalangka Kumman and ordered him to kill the giant. Colophon: Folio 27 on the recto side: Chunlasangkatrasa (CS) 1222, a [kot san] year, the fifth day of the waxing moon of the twelfth lunar month, the sixth day of the week (Friday). The younger brother of the king who lived in the back golden palace had the religious faith to sponsor the making of this manuscript [entitled] Sihanatha kumman, fascicle 2, to support the Teachings of the Buddha to last until the end of 5000 years. May wishes of mine come true. May this be a condition for us to reach Nibbāna.
