Patimokkha manuscript, the text was written in Pali language is used to learn by heart by monk. The Patimokkha is the basic code of monastic displines, consisting of 227 rules for monks. The Patimokkha recitation by a monk in the assembly of the Sangha is regularly held in the monastic hall on every full moon day and every new moon day which is called uposatha day.
