The text refers to the prolonging of the fate. The rite of this prolonging of the fate is performed to a person who is sick or often feels unwell. The ancients believed that the person might have fate falling. So, to perform the ritual is to encourage the sick. Sacrifice offerings include: sour soup, sweet soup, pounded rice, flowers, incense, candles, silver and gold candles. The person who is prolonged the fate must take a bath, wash his body and put on new clothes. After that, the master of ceremonies will recite the spell for prolonging his or her fate.
