The text tells about the strange behaviors of the major groups of the people in the world when the Teachings of the Buddha have passed for 3000 years. They will not believe in the teachings of their parents or teachers. They will become selfish, greedy, highly conceited and have wrong view. They will respect the parent spirits, guardian spirits and deities as the refuge. They will not believe in the Buddha’s teachings. Even if they have heard the preaching by monks, they will not believe in and not follow the teachings. Therefore, the Teachings of the Buddha have gradually declined along the time. Colophon: Folio 28 on the recto side: Buddhist Era 1211 (possibility is CS 1211), a kat hao year, on the sixth day of the waxing moon of the third lunar month, the seventh day of the week (Saturday), a kot sanga day, the writing was accomplished at the time of tut tang mue sao (between 6.00–7.30 o’clock). Phò Tü and Mae Tü sponsored the making of this manuscript [entitled] Sòng Hòm That to support the Teachings of the Buddha to last until the end of 5000 years. May my wishes and desires come true.
