Fasamang kham, the heavenly message from Indra to human beings in the world. The text also contains a protective text of khatha (incantations) in Pali in order to recite by heart and a written text for keeping in the house. In Sangkat (Culasakkarat) 1250 (AD 1888) there happened a war and dangers for all human beings. The bad persons who are lacking of morality and not respected to each other would be killed by themselves. Only the ones who are aware of good deed and follow the Teachings of the Buddha would escape from the dangers. The ones who have this Fasamang kham text in their houses would also be safe from all bad happenings. Colophon: Folio 9 on the recto side: In Chunlasangkat (CS) 1279, a moeng sai year, on the second day of the waxing moon of the eighth lunar month, the fifth day of the week (Thursday), the writing was accomplished at the time of kòng ngai (between 7.30–9.00 o’clock). Sao Phui and her husband together with all their children had the ardent religious faith to sponsor the making of this manuscript [entitled] Tamnan Fasamangkham luang to support the Teachings of Gotama Buddha to last until the end of 5000 years. May all our wishes and desires come true. Sadhu sadhu anumodāmi niccaṃ dhuvaṃ nibbānaṃ paramaṃ sukhaṃm (Amen, amen, congratulate, constantly and certainly, Nibbāna is the greatest bliss).
