The collection contains special equipment used by Seventh-Day Adventist communities in the USSR for the clandestine production of religious literature and other forms of samizdat during the Soviet period, when the publication and circulation of religious literature were forbidden by the atheist state. The collection includes typewriters, presses, photographic equipment, bookbinding machines, and other related items.
Колекція містить спеціальне обладнання, створене та використане громадами Сьомого дня Адвентистів в СРСР для підпільного виготовлення релігійної літератури та інших видів самвидаву в радянський період, коли публікація та розповсюдження релігійної літератури були заборонені атеїстичною державою. До колекції входять друкарські машини, преси, фотографічне обладнання, машинки для палітурки та інші відповідні предмети.
Custodial history: This collection, gathered from 1993 to 2021 by Oleh Arutyunov, was collected among the members of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Ukraine. It was ransferred to the Adventist archive-museum in Bucha in parts from 1996 to 2024.
Arrangement: The labeling for all archival and museum funds in the collection was prepared by Oleg Nikolaevich Arutyunov, a clergyman and director of the SDA Church archive-museum in Ukraine.
