المهاجر

Al-Mohajer: A Syrian national literary newspaper, originally published weekly by Amin Al-Ghorayeb in New York as of July 25, 1903, before turning into a biweekly published every Wednesday and Saturday. Mainly covering the affairs of Syrian emigrants, it primarily published their news and events of interest and helped spreading their reach to Syria and Lebanon, thereby acting as a full-fledged link between Syrian emigrants and their brothers back home. While visiting Boston, Amin Al-Ghorayeb was surprised by Gibran Khalil Gibran and took it upon himself to revise and publish his writings in his newspaper, which launched Gibran as an author to the world.
