This sub-fonds consists of 52 Bengali 'popular market' books digitised as part of the EAP127 project. The original material was collected by Aritra Chakraborti, working for the School of Cultural Texts and Records.
Material in the collection probably dates from the late 20th century to the early 21st century; some of the publications do not display dates. The collection consists of erotica, pornography and sensationalised romantic fiction.
