This collection contains Portuguese manuscript documents from the Church of Santana do Bananal, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. It consists of slave burial records dating from 1859 to 1862. Custodial history: The volumes were produced by the Church of Santana do Bananal. In accordance with local custom and Canonical Law, all documentation of a permanent nature produced by the Parish is transferred to the Archive of the Archdiocese of Niterói after 70 years.
