This collection contains Portuguese manuscript documents from the Church of São Salvador de Campos, Campos dos Goytacazes, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. It includes baptismal records (1681-1689) and burial records (1770) of enslaved, freed (forro/liberto), and free people. Custodial history: The volumes were produced by the Church of Santa Rita do Rio Negro (Duas Barras). In accordance with local custom and Canonical Law, all documentation of a permanent nature produced by the Parish is transferred to the Archive of the Archdiocese of Niterói after 70 years.
