This collection consists of Portuguese manuscript documents from the Church of Nossa Senhora de Capivari, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. It consists of registries of marriages (1848-1851) of enslaved, freed (forro), and free individuals. Custodial history: The volumes were produced by the Church of Nossa Senhora de Capivari. In accordance with local custom and Canonical Law, all documentation of a permanent nature produced by the Parish is transferred to the Archive of the Archdiocese of Niterói after 70 years.
