The manuscript contains texts about monastic life (from the religious and protreptic anthologies The Philokalia Book [Добротолюбие] and «Alfa and Omega» [Альфа и Омега], Acts and Epistles of the Apostles, interpretations of «The Song of Songs» by Theodoret of Cyrus, essays of Anastasius Sinaita, Isaac of Nineveh, and John Chrysostom, essays «the Spiritual Alphabet» [Алфавит духовный] of Isaiah Kopinsky, Metropolitan of Kiev and Galicia, and Molitvennye stikhosloviia [Prayer Poems] of Saint Dimitry of Rostov, extracts from the Canons to Saint Nicholas and the canon «for those who do charity» [за творящих милостыню], and church hymns to the ikon of The Mother of God «Ot navedeniia pechali» [Of sorrow // От наведения печали].
