The first part of his name comes from the fact that the yogi was clothed in fur garment (kampaḷi caṭṭai); Kailāca refers to the Kailash mountain [Kangrinboqê Feng] (Himalaya) and Muṉivar is a title given to saint. The manuscrip is in good condition; some leaves are broken. Text 1- The text, entitled Kaṟppa Vaḻalai-100, describes Kampaḷi Caṭṭai Kailāca Muṉivar, a cittar (yogi supposed author of siddha texts). The text mentions that this cittar wrote many texts, among them, Kayakaṟpam-100 and Nikaṇṭu-900. These two texts are considered as rare. Text 2- The text is a part of Nikaṇṭu-900 written by Kampaḷi Caṭṭai Kailāca Muṉivar. Nikaṇṭu is a type of poetic form in order to facilitate the memorization of the text. In this Nikaṇṭu, the rule is slightly deviated. The subjects approached in this text are: wisdom; devils (pūtam); diseases caused by vāta imbalance (vātam); several medical plants among them an herb called cāraṇai; and some distillates (ceyanīr, nīr). Text 3- The text is a compilation of disparate palm leaves which deals with Vedanta philosophy. Text 4- The text, entitled Tāmira Paṟpam, documents different methods of preparing a calcined salt of copper (tāmira paṟpam), the dosage of this product for treating diseases and the diseases for which it is recommended. Size of the manuscript: 24.0cm x 3.6cm. The palm leaves of the 2 first texts are numbered from 1 to 23 and from 24 to 184. The leaves 15, 27, 50; 55-65, 79, 83 and 123 are missing. The texts 3 and 4 are formed of 12 disparate leaves. There are 5 disparate and broken leaves and 7 blank leaves, among them 5 are placed at the end of the manuscript.
