一本初真按簪開解科

Compilation of three texts: Chu zhen, Bei ti, Kaijie. Chu zhen: Opening ceremony of the small altar for the disciple. Inform the spirits and invite the Deities of the Ritual Experts. Bei ti: The instructions to teach the boy. Moral rules to follow in order to behave like a gentleman/scholar; Kai jie: Instructions to feed the novice for the first time after being born: Water, rice, pork meat. This part includes protection for the case that the boy is exposed to risks (breaking taboos… such as stepping on excrement).
