Phet Ham Hai (first fascicle) (ເຜດຮ່ຳໄຮຜູກຕົ້ນ) (1949)

This text is about the sins of a preta (demon) abiding in great suffering, anger and pain. She was forced to be naked all the time. This was so because when this demon was alive, she had been a wife of Sang (artisan) Huk, who offered her to the monks. She had cursed her husband and refused to be given as an offering, so when they died, her husband became a tree a spirt, while she became a demon, maintaining a tortured existence in her husband's proximity. The colophon mentions Nang (Mrs) Phia Tan as sponsor. The recorded date when the manuscript was finished corresponds to Tuesday, 13 September 1949. Date of original material: BE 2492 (kat pao year); 1949. 41 folios.
