Paraná Delta del Mapas Naufragios [1930s-1960s]

Description: This envelope informs us about the Project for the creation of Paraná National Park in the province of Entre Ríos now in existence and in the south-west of the coast near the city of Diamante. Its purpose was to preserve the autochthonous vegetation and fauna. It also includes information of the wreckages and accidents of the boats and ships that crossed the Paraná River. There were big and small accidents most of them caused because of two or more ships clashing. In 1922, fourteen people drowned, in 1926, and in 1949 occurred some of the worst accidents.
