Paraná Escuela Normal [1910s-1960s]

Description: In 1870, the Escuela Normal de Paraná (a school for the students who wanted to become teachers) was the first to be created in Argentina. Domingo Faustino Sarmiento, then President of the Republic-and also a well-known intellectual, writer, politician, and journalist in Argentina- created it with a group of teachers who were especially brought from United States of America.
